The Delhi high court has rebuked X Corp for contesting an order asking it to take down posts that alleged senior journalist and India TV editor-in-chief Rajat Sharma had used foul language against Congress leader Ragini Nayak during a TV show.

We reported on June 11 that Rajat Sharma has denied using abusive language against the Congress leader

The court said that X Corp should only act as a neutral intermediary, news networks reported.

As per reports, the division bench said: “We are a bit concerned about your locus. You are not behaving like an intermediary. You must behave like a neutral platform… We are finding increasingly on the original and the appellate sides that the Domain Name Registrars and intermediaries are refusing to comply with court orders. It is not only a national trend but international. Even Canadian court’s orders have been not complied with."
