Industry sources have confirmed to exchange4media that Durga Raghunath, CEO, Network18 Digital has resigned. Raghunath was not available for a comment when contacted.

Raghunath was appointed as CEO in April, 2014 after she took over from Lakshmi Narasimhan who had moved to a corporate role. Incidentally, Narasimhan also put in his papers at Network18 just recently. Raghunath was earlier CEO of Firstpost.com, the news and opinion portal from the group. Raghunath has over 10 years of experience in publishing – both books and digital. She previously worked with the Wall Street Journal, Mint and HarperCollins in New York. She had joined Network18 in 2011 and conceptualised and launched Firstpost.com.

Network18 Digital, earlier referred to as Web18, comprises a bouquet of digital content brands and services, which includes Moneycontrol.com, Ibnlive.com, Firstpost.com, and Burrp.com. Network18 Digital has also recently launched Firstbiz.com, a standalone business news and views website from Firstpost and state and local news portal News18.com.
