Social media giant Facebook has formed a team comprising ex-intelligence officers, researchers and media buyers to find out all “wrong activities” that can be done on the platform and suggest ways to stop it, according to media reports.
The group is reportedly called ‘Investigative Operations Team’ and is testing the company's advertising systems, pages, Instagram, Messenger and other services.
The team is said to be searching for troubling behaviour and keywords.
"What we have now is a series of people who are truly looking for how could you possibly do something wrong," reports quoted Lynda Talgo, Facebook Business Integrity Director, as saying.
"Their entire job is to look forward and figure out what's coming around the corner," she added.
