A simple thought about putting up videos of film reviews and interviews on YouTube led to the creation of Film Companion, shared Anupama Chopra, Editor-In-Chief, Film Companion, in a candid conversation with e4m Editor Naziya Alvi Rahman, on the 10th anniversary of the platform.  

Speaking about Film Companion's journey, Chopra shared how she was particular about it being a self-sustaining business and that it could never be a vanity project.

Chopra also spoke about Film Companion's monetisation model, venturing into branded and commissioned content and her aim to put out content that is informative and entertaining.

Anupama Chopra also shared insights into Film Companion’s new segment FC Classrooms, which is an online educational model for aspiring screenwriters.
