Former Meta COO Sheryl Sandberg invests again in Gen AI startup Simplismart: Report

Sheryl Sandberg, the former Chief Operating Officer of Meta, has reportedly invested in Bangalore-based Generative AI startup Simplismart for the second time.
Sandberg was part of its latest round of funding led by Accel, which could reportedly raise the company’s valuation to $35 million.
Reports say that the company has raised $7.14 million so far in two rounds of funding. The seed round was reportedly held in July at a post-money valuation of $1.5 million.
Simplismart was founded by two BITS Pilani graduates Amritanshu Jain and Devansh Ghatak. The company assists clients in using GenAi models with its high-speed inference engine and manages the development of lifecycle without writing codes, available across various cloud providers.
Simplismart has previously discreetely raised seed funds from Anicut Capital, Sunn91, First Cheque and Shastra VC.
