SonyLIV has made history along with the Indian cricket team during the recent tour of Australia with the series also setting a digital viewership record, as per media reports.

SonyLIV managed to get over 300 per cent more viewers than during the Indian team’s tour to England and over 350 per cent more when compared to the series in South Africa.

According to some reports, SonyLIV secured a 50-million strong audience during the live streaming of the series and this is almost a three-fold increase in the gross “watch time” than the previous two overseas tours of the Men in Blue.

This digital viewership record can be attributed to the success of Virat Kohli’s boys, the early morning telecast timings, improved connectivity and better data reach.

Among the 50 million audience that the series got on SonyLIV, 45 per cent of them were youngsters.
