During the recent Lok Sabha Elections, Jagran.com recorded all-time high figure of hits across the globe, with users spread all over anxious to know the trends and the results. Talking about it,Sukirti Gupta, CEO, Jagran Digital said that Jagran.com got more than 30 million hits on that day which is the highest score till now.
When asked about the strategy, she said,“Meeting our user’s expectations from their favourite newspaper and after learning from the response we had received on Delhi Election coverage, we planned Lok Sabha Election coverage considering importance of each single element; whether its features, UI, page optimization, server handling, content consumption pattern, etc. For a seamless and fast delivery of reporting and coverage, entire team including print & digital, editorial, product development, server and design, came together and this team work made us very confident to carry this event successfully. But the traffic, which we have received, was beyond our expectations and crossed five times our average daily traffic and the best part is, we were able to sustain the same traffic throughout the day.”
She also mentioned that jagran.com was in Google Trends on 16th May which shows its credibility among readers. She added, “After this event, we are able to retain the users thus adding to the loyalty factor. Big gain in terms of traffic, user engagement and their loyality!”
