Pinterest Inc. has said that its revenue and user growth for the second quarter has been better than projected, according to media reports.
A major demand for advertising on its social-media service has boosted its forecasts for the year, Pinterest has said.
The social media site has added 9 million monthly users in the quarter reaching a total of 300 million. This is a 30 per cent jump from last year, the company said in a statement.
Its second-quarter revenue has grown 62 per cent to $261.2 million, better than the $235.8 million estimated on average.
The company has said the revenue gains was largely due to international growth.
