Publicis Groupe chief data officer Jason Kodish has announced his resignation today in a lengthy all-staff email, copied to LinkedIn.
He wrote that over the past five years, he has tried leaving Publicis four times but always ended up staying. Kodish first joined Publicis-owned Digitas in 2006, where he was global chief data scientist before he was repositioned last year as chief data officer of Publicis Spine, which handles data assets, tech and talent.
A Publicis spokeswoman said in media reports that they are looking for Kodish's successor.
Kodish further wrote, “I leave knowing that you don’t need me for you to do amazing work…you don’t [need] me for you to create and to re-invent…that you don’t need me for you to be amazing because it was the people on my team…the people in my orbit that helped me do amazing work…to create and re-invent…to be amazing."
Kodish ended the memo with 10 key points for employees including “would beg you to embrace", “always reinvent”, “have passion or leave" and "take risks".
