Tata Play has reported a net loss of Rs 354 crore for FY2024, as per media reports.
The operational revenue of the Tata Sons company has also dropped 4% with its expenses increasing by almost 1.5%, the reports said quoting the company's regulatory filings.
While the company's DTH business has suffered a net loss of Rs 247 crore in FY24, it had recorded a net profit of Rs 20 crore in the last fiscal. Drop in revenue from the DTH segment has been seen as a reason for this significant decline.
In May, e4m reported that Tata Group had decided to buy Disney’s $1bn-worth 30% stake in Tata Play. With the purchase, Tata Group now owns the satellite service in its entirety.
