Tata Sky partners with ShortsTV
The newly launched Tata Sky ShortsTV will feature a line-up of 2000 titles, covering a variety of genres such as comedy, drama, thriller, mystery, crime and adventure.
Tata Sky on Tuesday announced a partnership with ShortsTV, a 24/7 TV channel dedicated to short films. The newly launched Tata Sky ShortsTV is a curated platform for short stories and films. Tata Sky ShortsTV will provide about 600 hours of short-format stories on a single platform that can be accessed on the go.
The platform will feature a line-up of 2000 titles, covering a variety of genres such as comedy, drama, thriller, mystery, crime and adventure.
Speaking about the platform, Arun Unni, Chief Content Officer, Tata Sky, said, “As viewing habits evolve, short films have seen a huge surge in popularity across the world, including India. Increasingly, prominent filmmakers & actors are using this creative medium to tell wonderful stories being watched by millions on the internet. However, there hasn’t been a single curated destination for the Indian consumer to watch this content. Tata Sky ShortsTV aims to be that destination where a curated selection of 2000+ of the world’s best short films can be enjoyed on a 24/7 basis.”
He further said, “At Tata Sky, we are aware that we cater to a wide range of audience. We not only cater to a rural or regional consumer, but also to an urban consumer. We entertain everyone in the entire chain. Our portfolio has mass content and our objective is to serve as many as these niche consumers as possible.”
ShortsTV is available on Tata Sky mobile app and can also be accessed on television at a cost of Rs 75 per month through STB. Unni informed that the price will remain the same in the longer run. “At Tata Sky, we don’t change the price. I don’t see, the price getting changed in the longer run,” he shared.

Some of the international finds available on the platform are God of Love, Bear Story, Atlantic, Henry, Borrowed Time, Curfew, Blood Money, Chutney, Ahalya, Shunyata, Aamad, Kheer, Arre Baba, Urmi’s Cat, ‘Naughty Amelia Jane are some others films that one can watch on Tata Sky ShortsTV.
