This festival makes us dream bigger now: Ajit Varghese
Wow!! Another GoaFest and another amazing and thrilling night of celebrations and creativity rewards. The whole coming together of the jury, judging it truly professionally inspite of running different agendas and work that all of us are truly proud of. Maxus winning 11 metals is probably an icing on the cake, says Ajit Varghese.

Maxus winning 11 metals is probably an icing on the cake. What we are really proud of is our dream coming true of running a “creativity” agenda for the brands that we work for and being different in the market, a fact being recognised by the industry consistently. We started the year with ‘Agency of the Year’ award, bagging 19 metals and now 11 at GoaFest. It gives us pride that when we have some great clients, committed team and passion to be able to make a difference to the industry. Yes, this festival makes us dream bigger now!
Winning a few as a habit may make it easier I guess.
Looking at the industry, I see so much energy, passion and drive to make a difference - it truly reflects the agenda of the year ‘Survival of the fittest’. Though I wish we had some better quality discussion on the topics that ran over last two days, the speakers did bring in some points to ponder for the future. I am worried when there is no conflict in viewpoints and discussion on a topic. But some points raised, especially the need for more research, creativity and consumer as the focal point, should be seriously considered.
The opportunity to catch up with friends and some of the industry stalwarts/ clients in a relaxed atmosphere is also an experience we cherish. It continues to give us space to experience each other’s “people inside”. It also gives us an opportunity to meet with the “young brigade”, which otherwise is almost impossible or is always a work atmosphere.
Well, the night is still rocking as am writing this and don’t want to miss the action. So cheers to all of you. Enjoy GoaFest for years to come!
