Ankur Kalra, who was General Secretary of the National Executive, EEMA, has been elected Vice-President for the North region. The election was conducted on August 4, 2012.

Commenting on his election, Kalra said, “Since EEMA was found out of Delhi and the north has been the most active and has contributed most to EEMA’s success, I have plans to take EEMA to a much higher level.”

North zone consists of a six-member team – Joint Secretary Samith Garg; three Additional Secretaries – Sachin Talwar, Siddharth Chaturvedi and Vipul Pandi; members Sharad Mathur and Taneja as member.

A National Executive meeting, where the national agenda will be set, will be held in Mumbai on August 9. The National Executive consists of President Brian Tellis, General Secretary Rajesh Varma, Executive, Atul Nath, Secretary Vijay Arora, and Treasurer Rajeev Jain.

Elaborating on his plans for the north region, Kalra said, “Talent development, fund raising, build brand, grater engagement of employees, create one or two properties, membership development and conducting road shows are few things we I have in mind. The agenda will be ratified in the National Executive meeting.”

Engaging people and broad basing the membership, getting to cities like Agra, Jaipur, Kanpur and getting smaller agencies involved in EEMA are some other focus areas.

Meanwhile, the election for the Vice President’s post for West region will be on August 9, 2012.
