Aval Vikatan concludes Samayal Super Star

The culinary competition saw thousands of participants from across Tamil Nadu

The recently concluded ‘Aval Vikatan Samayal Super Star’ showcased Tamil Nadu’s rich tapestry of flavors, techniques, and culinary traditions that make each region's cuisine truly exceptional.

Across 38 districts, clustered into 11 regions, ‘Aval Vikatan Samayal Super Star’ saw a heartwarming welcome from thousands of participants across Tamil Nadu. “Tamil Nadu’s most celebrated Chef Dheena was the face of this hunt who helped us find the deserving candidate to win the title. In level one from each cluster, we had thousands of participants displaying food of their choice and top 10 from this lot faced a live cooking challenge right after. The top 4 from the live cooking were then invited to Chennai to face the finale battle.”

Overall, 66 finalists consolidated from all the clusters battled against each other to win the coveted title ‘Aval Vikatan Samayal Super Star’ Season I at Institute of Hotel Management, Chennai on 6th Jan 2024. Fathima Sheeba from Tirunelveli was crowned Aval ‘Samayal Supe Star’ while Ayshath Zuhaira from Salem and Vanaja Radhakrishnan from Coimbatore were the first and second runners-up respectively.
