Big FM bags 5 awards at New York Festivals 2012

Big FM has won one Gold, one Silver and one Bronze trophy, along with two finalist certificates at New York Festivals Awards 2012.

The New York Festivals honours the world’s best radio programmes, promotions and content with the Radio Program and Promotion Awards. The awards were held on June 18 at Manhattan Penthouse in New York City. There were entries from over 27 countries this year.

Big FM bagged a Gold in the ‘Best Special Event’ category for Rosy Massage Parlour; a Silver in the ‘Station Id’ category for Morning Station Id; and a Bronze in the 'Public Service Announcement Promotion' category for Rosy Massage Parlour. In addition, the station also bagged two finalist certificates in ‘Best Sound’ for Big FM Early Morning Jingle and 'Public Service Announcement Promotion' category for Teena.

Reacting to the wins, Rabe T Iyer, Business Head, Big FM, said, “We are proud of the team that has brought home the maximum awards at the very prestigious NYF, being adjudged from amongst some of the world’s best radio programmes. Other awards winners from India included Red FM, which won a Gold for ‘Ondhu Chance’ and Fever FM, which won a Bronze in for Fever Prastuti Gandhi.
