Fujifilm to donate medical equipment for people affected by Wayanad landslides

The equipment is worth Rs 6 million, the company said

FUJIFILM Holdings Corporation today announced that it will donate Rs 6 million worth of medical equipment through FUJIFILM India Pvt. Ltd. for the people affected by the major landslides that occurred in Mundakkai, Wayanad which has resulted in over 300 fatalities till now.

“Donation of the medical equipment including the ultra-portable DR X-ray system and the ultrasound diagnostic system will be made to the Wayanad Government Medical College, Mananthavady, Wayanad District based on their requests. This activity is aimed at swiftly supporting the high volume of diagnosis that the hospital needs because a large volume of affected people are receiving treatment at this government facility,” the company stated in a release.

Informing about the update Koji Wada, Managing Director, FUJIFILM India said, “My heart goes out to the families and all the people who lost their lives and many who are receiving treatment, as a leading healthcare company, I felt it is my duty to support the public health system that is rendering its services to the people affected by this natural calamity. We pray for everyone’s speedy recovery and hope that our Portable DR X-Ray System along with the Ultrasound Equipment will mitigate the stress that Wayanad Government Medical College, Mananthavady is currently undergoing”
