HT Media has launched HT Bangla – one-of-its-kind mobile-first Bengali news website.

HT Bangla, with a focused product concept, is a new-age news platform for today's Bengali youth, about things that matter to them, served in a decluttered manner. That is reflected in the way the content is presented and the site is designed.

Just a few months into its launch, HT Bangla is already logging over 10 Million monthly page views and 4 million monthly users. Over 66% of the readers belong to the age category of 18-34 years, a testament to how the fresh content has instantly grabbed eyeballs of the youth.

Catering to the millennial and Gen Z crowd, the platform has specially curated topics and information along with the local and global news sections. The sections – Sports, Personal Finance, and Job Opportunities – have made a mark among the active readers. This has also made the average page per visit to 3, higher than the industry average.  The bounce rate of the website is amazingly low compared to industry standards, which means people are really engrossed with the offering.

HT Bangla's Editor Arghya Prasun Roychowdhury is upbeat about the future of the website. He said, "This is just the beginning. In times to come, we will significantly add to the bouquet of offerings, ramp up our video inventories to give readers the news, sights, and sounds from Bengal and across the globe. Staying true to HT ethics, we will highlight the issues that matter to the people."

Hindustan Times Chief Revenue Officer for the East who will also look after HT Bangla, Amitava Bhattacharya, said “With HT Bangla, a brand targeted for the youth, we want to reach out to potential partners who would look to leverage our product to reach the Bangla-speaking millennials and GenZ in Bengal and beyond.”

HT Bangla is also in the process of greater integration with the Fever FM Network. Check out this video.

HT Bangla from inception has been present on social media platforms Facebook and Twitter and has now made forays into YouTube and Instagram. For all discerning Bengali readers, who want a dash of cutting edge all-encompassing coverage from Noam Chomsky to Nandan, from Modi to Mamata, bangla.hindustantimes.com is your one-stop destination.
