Organized by iTV Network, this annual conclave once again gathered the best of India's political arena for a day of insightful dialogue and spirited debate. The day was packed with extensive one-on-one discussions as the event was graced by several key political figures of India taking the centre stage at Manch to discuss pressing issues and challenges faced by the nation and its people, especially after the formation of the new NDA government. At the event,Union Minister Piyush Goyal revealed there will be a “greater thrust” of new reforms along with promising policy continuity. He revealed that they will soon be introducing BSIS standards so that 140 crore Indians get good quality footwear.
Union Minister Prahlad Joshi further in the event discussed An engaging discussion on the Modi government's Viksit Bharat 2047 goal and the opposition's role in democratic processes. “For Mission 2047, we aim to achieve 500 gigawatts by 2030. By 2047, our mission is to reduce emissions and increase renewable energy to achieve a developed Bharat.
Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat stated, “Prime Minister Modi introduced the concept of ‘Amrit Kaal,’ but this vision predates even the BJP, originating during the Jan Sangh era. The goal has always been to make India powerful, prosperous, and affluent.”
A vision of technological advancement was painted by Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, who enthused, “India is transitioning from being a follower in 4G, walking alongside in 5G, to leading in 6G. This growth is evident across all sectors.”
Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri underscored the vital role of energy in national development, lauding the potential of green fuels. He also took a critical stance on the Oil Bond Scheme, highlighting its detrimental effects on the country.
SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav stated that the existing government was going to fall soon. He further extended the offer to anybody who wanted to join the party and make something out of themselves. “The offer is open. This is the monsoon offer, and then we will have a winter discount, until the government falls, we will continue.”
Adding a touch of diplomacy, to the discussions, Pawan Khera, Chairman of Media & Publicity at AICC, made a notable remark about PM Modi’s 2024 general election results, saying, "He won and yet, in a way, he lost, but we won despite our loss in the elections.”
Further, giving the Conclave his opinion of the central government’s recently presented Union Budget 2024, Congress MP Manish Tewari described it as essentially a reflection of the government’s earnings and expenditures. “For the past five years, I have been asking the government whether the increasing loans are for capital or revenue expenditure, and they have yet to provide a satisfactory answer,” he said.
AAP MP Sanjay Singh, used the platform to praise the Kejriwal leadership stating, "Under Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership, a new era of politics began in the country. He has been elected three times, and his work on education, water, electricity, and health has been significant. Initiatives like free bus rides for women and pilgrimage schemes for the elderly have garnered global attention"
