Inquilab expands its wings in more cities

Jagran Prakashan Ltd’s (JPL) Urdu newspaper Inquilab that has hit newsstands in Lucknow on May 27, 2011, has expanded its wings in other cities of Uttar Pradesh and Delhi NCR.
On June 9, 2011, the newspaper has hit the newsstand of the Uttar Pradesh cities that include Noida, Kanpur and Bareilly. Going ahead, on June 14, newspaper will be available for the readers in Moradabad. While group is planning to launch its Gorakhpur, Varanasi and Allahabad editions on June 21. Moving forwards, Agra, Aligarh and Meerut editions of the newspaper will be launched on June 27.
As is known, Inquilab is a 12-page newspaper on weekdays, while on weekends it carries16 pages. Additionally, it carries two supplements – one on Friday and one on Sunday. The newspaper is being targeted at the upmarket Urdu reading population across markets in UP, Delhi and Bihar.
The Editor of Inquilab is Shahid Latif, who has been responsible for the makeover of Inquilab. The content planning has been done for all the new editions under his overall guidance. Shakeel Shamsi is the Editor for the North editions of the newspaper. Besides taking care of his editorial responsibilities, Shamshi has authored over 12 books and is the recipient of the Bharatendu Award.
