Leading newspaper Lokmat has announced ‘UPL presents Lokmat Maharashtrian of the Year Awards’. The awards will be conferred across 14 categories, including CSR, social service, politics, sports, arts, entertainment -film, theatre, medical, business, and administration.
Readers can cast their vote online on lmoty.lokmat.com. The voting line is open till the first week of April. The aim of the awards is to recognise and honour the most exceptional work done by individuals in their respective sectors, contributing toward the betterment of the society. The awards are a testimony of the positive impact made by people in their individual capacity and their efforts to put Brand Maharashtra on the Indian and the global radar.
This year’s edition will see the presence of luminaries such as Prakash Javdekar (Human Resource Development Minister of India), Prithviraj Chauhan (Ex. Chief Minister of Maharashtra), Padma Shri Awardee Abhay Bang, Vijay Darda, ( Ex-Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha & Chairman - Lokmat Media Group), Rajendra Bhadwe (Oncologist), Vikram Shroff (Executive Director, UPL), Bhalchandra Mungekar (Economist), Prasoon Joshi (Chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification), Raj Nayak (COO Colors), Anu Malik (Music Director), Ajay-Atul (Music Director-Composer), Rahul Joshi (CEO, Network 18), Nivedita Saraf (Marathi Actress), Ravi Jadhav (Film Director), and Ayaz Memon (Indian Sports Writer).
