McCain Foods India appoints Vikas Mittal as MD
In his new role, Vikas Mittal will be playing a key role in shaping long-term growth strategies for the company, besides building the McCain brand in India.
McCain Foods India Pvt Ltd, the Indian subsidiary of McCain Foods Canada - the world’s largest producer of frozen French fries and potato specialty products, has announced the appointment of Vikas Mittal as Managing Director for India & Sub-continent region. In this capacity, Mittal will be playing a key role in shaping long-term growth strategies for the company, besides building the McCain brand in India.
Announcing the appointment, Fred Schaeffer, Regional President, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, McCain Foods, said, “Vikas brings a wealth of FMCG marketing and general management experience to his new role, and is a true internationalist. We welcome Vikas to the McCain family.”
An alumnus of IIM Lucknow and Delhi College of Engineering, Mittal has over 20 years of experience working across most competitive FMCG categories, including Haircare, Skincare, Foods and Beverage, Laundry, Homecare, OTC and Healthcare.
In his previous assignment, Mittal was working with Dabur India Pvt Ltd, where he was Executive Vice President (Marketing) for Dabur’s Personal and Home Care Division and subsequently moved as Head of Innovations, Dabur India. Prior to Dabur, he had held key positions in India, the Middle East, Africa and South East Asia in organisations like Proctor & Gamble, and Friesland Campina (a Netherland-based dairy cooperative).
