The sixth edition of Prajavani Quiz Championship conducted in association with Deeksha Foundation concluded on Thursday with students from Bengaluru emerging as winners in the state-level grand finale.

The quiz was organised in 12 centers across Karnataka (Mysuru, Hassan, Udupi, Madikeri, Mangaluru, Davanagere, Dharwad, Jamkhandi, Kalburagi, Raichur, Tumkuru and Bengaluru) between 13 and 30 January.

The 12 winning teams from each centre participated in the grand finale held at the Jnanajyoti Auditorium, Bengaluru. There was intense competition between the teams taking the quiz to a tie-breaker level. The state champions Aditya Rao and Aditya Acharya of Christ Academy ICSE School were awarded a cash prize of Rs 50,000, trophy, medals and certificates by the Primary and Secondary Education Minister, Government of Karnataka, Mr S Suresh Kumar and Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Dr B R Ravikanthe Gowda.

An online warm-up quiz on Prajavanimicrosite was conducted one month before the start of on-ground events.

Also, cash prizes of Rs 30,000 to the second position; 10,000 to the third; Rs 6,000 to the fourth and Rs 4,000 to the fifth position teams were awarded.
