Sajid Shamim made Brand Director at Reebok India
Sajid Shamim, Executive Director, Sales and Marketing, Reebok India has been appointed as Brand Director of Reebok at Adidas Group. He will be responsible for the marketing and business strategy for Reebok India. This development has come in the wake of joint operating model effective from May 2011 by Adidas Group in India (Adidas Group owns Reebok and Adidas globally).

Sajid Shamim, Executive Director, Sales and Marketing, Reebok India has been appointed as Brand Director of Reebok at Adidas Group. He will be responsible for the marketing and business strategy for Reebok India. This development has come in the wake of joint operating model effective from May 2011 by Adidas Group in India (Adidas Group owns Reebok and Adidas globally).
Shamim has been with the company for the past 10 years. Under his leadership, Reebok has been credited with many firsts and has successfully maintained the brand leadership in an increasingly competitive market space. At Reebok, he has had cross functional exposure in Sales, Retail, Marketing and Product.
Through innovations, careful Go-To Market Strategies and strategic tie-ups (examples include Force India, Manish Arora, etc.), Shamim has successfully helped Reebok occupy a unique space in the consumer mindset – that of a sporty yet fun brand.
Reebok has also won a number of awards under Shamim’s leadership, which include the Emvies for Reebok’s partnership with the movie ‘Goal’, the Images Business of Fashion Award for the most Admired Footwear Brand, and recognition for innovations in Outdoor. The EasyTone digital campaign also won at the exchange4media’s Indian Digital Media Awards, Abbys and the Campaign India Digital Award for the best digital campaign of 2010.
