Seventynine, the mobile ad network of Smile Vun Group (SVG), has brought on board Chirag Shah as a co-founder. He teams up with existing Co-founder Deven Dharamdasani and will be involved in setting and scaling up Seventynine’s mobile business. Seventynine focuses on video ad formats to enrich user experience. Prior to this, Shah was with Zapak Digital Entertainment Ltd as Chief Revenue Officer.
Commenting on the development, Manish Vij, Founder, SVG, said, “Seventynine currently stands at an interesting juncture and is growing at a phenomenal rate. With Chirag on board, his extensive experience in the digital space would help us further streamline and expand the business.”
On joining Seventynine, Shah said, “Seventynine is a great platform for me professionally as well as personally.” He observed that mobile advertising is reforming the digital marketing space, and industry data shows that India is leading the mobile ad impression market in the Asia Pacific region in terms of users as well as ad spends. He added, “Seventynine is the ideal opportunity to drive trends in the mobile ad space along with fulfilling my entrepreneurial aspirations.”
In his career-span of 12 years, Shah has worked with companies such as HT Media Ltd, where he headed sales for Hindustantimes.com, and NRIworld.com, an online media company, as the head of sales and marketing.
Seventynine is the mobile ad network of SVG Group, a joint venture between Manish Vij’s Vun Network and Harish Bahl’s Smile Group. SVG’s other ventures in the digital media space include Tyroo media, DGM, Quasar and Zoomtra.
