Bangalore based Srishti Outreach, the flagship company of Srishti Group, has bagged the Sole Advertising Rights on the interior panels of the recently introduced Suburban trains in Bangalore.
The contract period is for five years. Incidentally, this is first medium secured by Srishti Outreach from the Railways since inception.
The much-awaited augmentation of Suburban Trains in Bangalore has just commenced with the Railways announcing eight new trains in the Suburban side recently. This will considerably reduce the daily woes of suburban commuters. These MEMU/ DEMU trains have higher carrying capacity (600 sitting + 1800 standing total 2400) per rake of eight coaches. The increase in the footfall in these trains indicates the popularity of their popularity due to rapid transit/punctuality. The eight trains now added cater to the most sought-after routes viz Bypanahalli – Whitefield – Bangalore city – Electronic City -Banaswadi – Hosur with a very dense travel by the Software professionals. As per Media Reports, the distance between Bypanahalli and Electronic City can be covered in flat 35 minutes now as against hours being spent on road, thanks to the Suburban trains introduced. The right decision taken by the Railways to decongest the Road traffic is appreciated by the travelling public.
It will be a great boon to the IT sector employees as they can commute to their work places with ease, less tension and considerably reduced travel time.
Sensing the great potential for advertisements in these much-awaited Suburban Trains, Srishti Outreach applied for Sole Advertising Rights on the interiors of these trains through the Tender process and they have bagged the Railway Order now.
Due to the excellent potential this medium has in reaching the target audience, (especially Tech Savvy professionals), enquires have already started pouring in from Telecom Companies, Consumer durable dealers, Jewellers, Banks & Insurance Companies seeking advertisement space in these Trains. The Textile giant POTHYS who has opened a massive show room in Bangalore recently is very keen to advertise in these trains. According to Media Planner of Pothys, “It is a great idea to reach the public through these trains.”
As the suburban trains cater to the needs of IT professionals with substantial income and the general public from various walks of life, the advertisers are positive about the increased visibility of their products and services by putting up their advertisements on the interior panels of these trains.
