Star Plus has partnered with Hindustan to launch a campaign, ‘Everybody must vote’, which encourages viewers to vote during this election period
Star Plus has partnered with Hindi daily Hindustan to launch a campaign, ‘Everybody must vote’, which encourages viewers to vote during this election period.
Through this election period, three of Star Plus’ popular characters – Pratigya, Saanchi and Sandhya – will be seen motivating viewers to cast their votes through a series of promos that will run on the channel.
“This joint initiative with Hindustan is a testimony to our commitment to make a difference to the lives of its viewers and society at large and is very much in keeping with the channel’s signature – ‘Rishta Wohi, Soch Nayi’. We are confident that it will create an important point of engagement and interaction between our viewers,” said Nitin Vaidya, Business Head, Hindi Channels, Star Plus.
These three characters are popular for their progressive outlook to life. Pratigya has always stood up for her rights and for some of the basic injustices inflicted on women. Saanchi of the show ‘Ruk Jaana Nahin’, is a 19-year-old college-going girl, who has always used her intelligence, wit and sense of humour to accomplish her goals. Sandhya of the show ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ is an ambitious girl from Pushkar who fights for respect and power in the traditional family she is married into.
