Come 2012, Vh1 will showcase all the drama from the red carpet to behind-the-scenes to performances of the awards, et al. The 3rd most watched awards show after the Oscars and The Grammy Awards, The Golden Globe Awards will be telecast live on Vh1 on 16th January, 2012.

Closer to the awards night, the channel will engage its audiences through live premiers of International Awards that will reach out to all the Indian fans across the nation. Last year, Vh1 sent winners to watch the Grammy Awards as esteemed guests with front row seats with invites to the after party with some of the biggest International artists!

Commenting on the marketing strategies, Ferzad Palia, Channel-Head Vh1 said, “There is going to be 60 days of marketing for both the awards. We are going to do a 360-degree marketing campaign using television, radio, print, outdoor, digital and even mobile as a medium for advertising. Along with that, we would also be doing some on-ground activities and run a contest of ‘Ticket to ride’ which would give the viewers an opportunity to participate in it and the winners would get to watch the Grammy Awards and also be getting an invitation for the after party with some of the international artists.”

Adding his views on getting the maximum viewership for the awards, Palia said, “We are banking on the marketing strategies undertaken by us and also the contest to get the viewers attention. I am sure people would tune in with good measures for watching these awards.”
