‘Yug Zamana’ magazine to be launched in Lucknow

The magazine will have a cover price of Rs 25 and is aiming for a print run of 10,000 copies in the first stage

‘Yug Zamana’, a monthly magazine focused on issues concerning farmers, minorities, and that entire segment considered as backwards, is slated for launch in Lucknow in the coming month. The magazine’s website is already up and running.

The magazine will have a cover price of Rs 25 and is aiming for a print run of 10,000 copies in the first stage.

Talking to exchange4media, Hare Prasad Upadhyay, Editor-in-Chief and MD, ‘Yug Zamana’, said, “Our objective is to highlight the issues of the backward people. They are the ones who are trying to uplift themselves in every possible manner. We want to help them in our own way by launching a magazine that will highlight their issues.”

Commenting on why the web edition has been launched first, Upadhyay said, “Web is the fastest medium for feedback. We have received maximum number of clicks for the website and the readers are very happy with the content.”

Magazine will consist of stories, articles, poems and latest happenings. More focus will be given to education.

Out of home, local newspapers and local cable TV channels have been roped in to create awareness about the magazine. The first edition of ‘Yug Zamana’ will be launched in Lucknow, followed by the second edition in New Delhi. The magazine will have an ad-edit ratio of 60:40.
