With no major changes in the top ranking of the dailies in the state; growth story continues for most of the newspapers. The top three dailies have seen overwhelming growth in readership in Q4 results of IRS as compared to previous one.
Hindi daily Hindustan with AIR of 17.66 Lac has grown with 8.34 per cent as against Q3. Prabhat Khabar, with double digit growth of 13.50 per cent in readership maintained its second rank in the state. Meanwhile, Dainik Jagran was able to grow with positive growth of 7.90 per cent in the state as compared to Q3 results of IRS.
Aj is the only newspaper among the top four that has seen a negative growth of 13.18 per cent with the gain of AIR 1.12 Lac.
While, the most read English daily of the state The Telegraph has witnessed double digit growth of 10.81 per cent; the Times of India and Hindustan Times did not see changes in AIR numbers. HT has registered AIR of 70,000 and TOI has got AIR 69,000 in IRS 2010 Q4.
