e4m MarTech India Awards 2023: Avlesh Singh named 'MarTech Visionary of the Year'

The e4m MarTech India Awards 2023 were held in Gurugram on December 7 in presence of industry heads and experts from the MarTech world. At the awards night, WebEngage Co-founder and CEO Avlesh Singh was awarded the 'MarTech Visionary of the Year' award. The awards recognise and celebrate individuals and companies that transform the landscape & possibilities of the marketing domain through technology.

Coming to the metal tally, WebEngage bagged 4 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze metals across categories for their impressive and path-breaking work.

Singh is a renowned name who comes with a rich experience. He began his career as a Principal Engineer and Search Architect with burrp!, India’s first local food and restaurant recommendation engine in August 2006. He then moved to Infomedia 18 Ltd in March 2009 and worked as a Search Architect. During his year-long stint at Infomedia 18, Avlesh played an instrumental role in designing the search stack and enhanced Solr to implement search/suggest related features on Burrp and Askme.

In 2011, Singh decided to venture into the software-as-a-service space and along with Ankit Utreja and the duo Co-Founded WebEngage.
