Experts come together to talk about future of business in India at TiEcon Mumbai

The 16th iteration of TiEcon Mumbai, TiE Mumbai's main event, took place at the Jio World Convention Centre on June 2, 2023. BKC. The conference this year had the slogan "Unboxing India 3.0 - Anti Fragile | Conscious | Innovating" as its centerpiece.
The event saw participation from 45+ Unicorns, 100+ Soonicorns, 500+ Investors, 100+ Corporates, 2500+ Entrepreneurs, 100+ Bankers, 200+ Industry leaders, 25+ Private Equity. Unboxing TiEcon Mumbai 2023- The conference had sessions discussing opportunities from a macro lens. Leaders will discuss macro-level topics like India 3.0, financial priorities, and innovation in India and beyond on the main stage.
During the event, Tagz, the snack company, also unveiled its first ad featuring cricketer Shikhar Dhawan who has also invested in the company. Post that, there was an interesting session on the topic, Digital HealthTech: Empowering Healthcare in the Digital Age, where experts from the health arena discussed using digital technology in health. Siddharth Shah, Co-Founder of Pharmeasy said, “In 2011, when I was in B School, I wanted to be an entrepreneur. One of my professors helped me in creating Pharmeasy. It is basically a college project which has become one of India’s largest healthcare platforms.” Experts also discussed that tier two and three cities have started being more interested in healthcare. More than 50% of their users come from those areas.
In the concluding panel, an interesting fireside chat was conducted between Nishith Desai, Founder of Nishith Desai Associates, and Akhilesh Ayer, EVP Global Head at WNS Triange. The two spoke about: The Gen AI Advantage: Leveraging Artificial Intelligence for Competitive Edge. The discussion went from discussing what is generative AI to how it will create opportunities for businesses, creators, and many others. Speaking about the same, Ayer said, “The challenges that we might face are biases, fairness, and the third problem is intellectual property. There is a deep problem with privacy. These are also exciting times. Generative AI presents a phenomenal set of opportunities and will elevate mankind.”
