After three decades of experience in business and brand development, marketing expert Vivek Sharma founded Altivyst Advisors, a marketing and communications consulting firm which supports organizations in constructing complete business plans.
Sharma, who has donned various hats in his celebrated career of over 32 years, presently heads the consulting firm which advises about marketing and sales, creating brand portfolio and architecture, making innovation blueprints linked to strategy and building marketing capacity for execution.
A Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM, Bangalore, and B.Tech. from IIT (ISM), Dhanbad, Sharma works personally on the business problems giving them individual attention and focus. Before starting his venture, Altivyst Advisors, Sharma was the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) in Pidilite Industries Ltd for seven years from 2015 to 2022 and CMO in Philips from 2008 to 2014.
Prior to that, he held the positions of Vice President-Marketing and Sales at Mirc Electronics Ltd-Onida for three years and Executive Director at Ogilvy and Mather for five years from 2000 to 2005. Sharma has also held senior leadership positions across Cadbury India (now Mondelez).
In his long career, he has been part of transformation journeys on brands like Fevicol, Dr. Fixit, Fevikwik, Philips personal care, Philips Lighting, and Philips B2B healthcare. In his association with HUL (Hindustan Unilever), he has worked on Brooke Bond Tea, Bru coffee, Annapurna Atta and Salt, Close-Up, Ponds, Dove, Comfort and Sunlight, apart from rural marketing.
In addition to HUL at Ogilvy, he also led Asian Paints, ICICI Bank, Mattel Toys, Tata Housing, Balsara Hygiene and Onida. At Cadbury, Sharma worked on chocolate, confectionery and Milk Food Drink brands like Cadbury Dairy Milk, 5-Star, Bournvita, Perk, Eclairs, Halls etc.
