Jnaneswar Sen steps down as SVP, Honda Cars India
Sen joined the Marketing & Sales wing of the company in 2006 and has been instrumental in taking Honda Cars to a strong position in his 12-year stint
Jnaneswar Sen, Senior Vice President (Marketing & Sales), Honda Cars India, has stepped down from his role.
According to reports, the Japanese car maker is planning a major management rejig in India and will soon announce new leadership roles. Earlier last month, Honda Motor Corporation appointed Gaku Nakanishi as Honda Cars India's new President & CEO.
Sen joined Honda Cars India in 2006 and was instrumental in putting the company in a strong position in his 12-year stint. Jnaneswar Sen has played a key role in Honda Cars' journey in India and has been part of the rollout plan of several new products, including new generations of Honda City, Honda Jazz, Honda Amaze, Honda CR-V and Honda WR-V. Prior to Honda, Sen had served at Maruti Udyog for 15 years.
According to industry sources, Rajesh Goel, the first Indian to hold a senior position at Honda Motor Corporation (Japan), is likely to take over as the Head Sales and Marketing, Honda Cars India. The announcement of the new leadership roles is expected to be made soon.
