Sudhir Sitapati Appointed Independent Director at Asian Paints

Asian Paints Limited has appointed Sudhir Sitapati as an Additional and Independent Director for a five-year term from May 29, 2026, to May 28, 2031.
Sitapati is not related to any current directors, key managerial personnel, or members of the promoter group.
He is currently the Managing Director and CEO of Godrej Consumer Products and has been in this role since 2021.
Sitapati has over two decades of experience at Unilever, with his last position being Executive Director for Foods and Refreshments at Hindustan Unilever.

Asian Paints Limited has announced the appointment of Sudhir Sitapati as an Additional and Independent Director for a period of five years. As per the regulatory filing, Sitapati’s tenure will be effective from 29 May 2026 to 28 May 2031.

The company further clarified that Sudhir Sitapati is not related to any directors, key managerial personnel or members of the promoter group.

Sitapati, 49, is currently the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Godrej Consumer Products, a role he has held since 2021. He also serves as Chair of the CII FMCG Committee and has earlier co-chaired the CII National Committee on Food Processing.

Before joining Godrej Consumer Products, Sitapati spent more than two decades at Unilever, where he held leadership positions across multiple categories and regions, including India, Europe, South East Asia and Africa. His last assignment was Executive Director – Foods and Refreshments at Hindustan Unilever.
