He added, “It’s Rs 10 crore proposition for us at this point in time in terms of budgeting. Marketing forms 70 per cent of the budget. So Rs 7 crore is being spent on marketing. We are looking at ATL, BTL, OOH and print heavily. We will back it up with digital. Mumbai and Delhi will have an outdoor presence of this app. Other cities will see print, broadcast and radio.”

He added, “We are looking at Marathi and Hindi channels and GECs. We will do carpet bombing as far as Wajood is concerned. We are planning to get this app on Android and iOS.” The app has been on works for three and a half to four months.

Wajood acts as a platform to simplify a broker’s business problems and bring transparency between a broker and the client. According to Wadhwani it will help broker keep the record of their business they generate with details of every customer. “We want a broker to get the right respect and stature in the society which will help them build their identity, hence the name Wajood. All you need to is log on to Wajood, put in your client name and number and contact details. That has a validity period of three months. They will have security of the payment. Every industry works on a margin of 8-15 per cent, even advertising works on 15 per cent. We are the only community that works on meagre two percent which we are looking to increase. It will become an integral part of our business operations. I won’t be surprised if we cross Rs 5000 crores this year.”
