Broadcasters hold closed door meet
Day-long ‘CEOs in Broadcasting’ meet takes up issues concerning digitisation and FM licencing, among others.

A day after Lok Sabha passed the cable digitisation Bill, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organised a session on content in the day-long ‘CEOs in Broadcasting’ meet, held in Delhi on December 14, 2011.
Various issues were taken up at the closed door meeting, which included digitisation and FM licensing, among others. It is also learnt that a decision was take, wherein from July 1, 2012, everything would go digital, and post that it would be illegal for cable operators to carry analog signals.
