The exchange4media Conclave 2009 has met with an enthusiastic response from industry honchos. The feedback received will go a long way in making the event even more relevant to the advertising and media industry. The day-long Conclave was presented by Star News and powered by Hindustan Times. Yuva was the associate sponsor for the event.

Speaking to exchange4media after the Conclave, Ashish Bagga CEO, India Today Group, said, “The conclave was very well organised. I liked the presentation by Andrew Rashbass, CEO, The Economist Group. There is a good perspective from The Economist presentation.”

Giving his feedback, Sam Balsara, Chairman & MD, Madison Communication, said, “I liked my panel discussion. I feel segmentation is good, while fragmentation is bad. Our channel friends are doing segmentation in the name of fragmentation and robbing the industry of its value.”

Bharat Kapadia, Director on Board at Lokmat, too, said that the event was very well organised. “The opening remarks by Mark Patterson are very encouraging. He sees India as very progressive, even in times of the slowdown, and has confirmed that the slowdown would be corrected faster.”

Anita Noronha, Executive Director at D&H Blurb Communications and Proprietor at Team Twin, said, “The experience of the Conclave has been good. We understand what is happening in the industry. Learning is euphoria for media planners and broadcasters and hardcore solutions regarding cost options are keenly looked forward to.”
