India Today Group expresses regret for staffer’s derogatory social media post

The India Today Group has expressed regret for a derogatory social media post posted by one of their sales staffers.

Dinesh Bhatia, Group Chief Executive Officer, India Today Group, has issued a statement saying that the post was "hurtful and against the basic principles of human decency".

The employee, who admitted to a 'momentary lapse of judgement', has been terminated. 

"The India Today Group does not condone such actions. We uphold the highest standards of ethics and professional decorum," the statement read.
