India's first sustainability-focused magazine Mosaic launched

A conclave to accelerate awareness of the UN’s SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) and integrate sustainability into lifestyle was organized at St. Paul’s School Gorakhpur. This comes when the UN has declared 2020-2030 as the “Decade of Action” to mobilize governments, civil society, higher education, businesses, and individuals to make global goals their own. The conclave was attended by Sudhir Mishra, Green Lawyer & Partner Trust Legal, Mihir Srivastava, Editor - Vyakti, Dr. Sonam M Puri, Sustainable Parenting Coach & Content Creator, Rohit Bose, Heritage Fashion Content Creator, Dr. Prof. Anubhooti Dubey, Senior Faculty at DDU (Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University) and Prof. Dr. Divya Singh, Senior Faculty Member at DDU, Rev. G Chandra, Trustee St. Paul’s Schools and other distinguished members.
Presiding over the conclave the Chief Guest Poonam Tandon, Vice-Chancellor of DDU University said DDU university is committed to promoting awareness of the SDGs in its wide student population and ensured further community-focused and student initiatives are promoted to reinforce sustainability in our society.
India's first lifestyle magazine MOSAIC was launched at Radiant Resort in Gorakhpur on June 29, in a ceremony to motivate individuals to integrate sustainability into their lifestyle and celebrate it as a promising value.
Founder of MOSAIC, Amreesh Chandra said, ‘MOSAIC promotes sustainable lifestyle as a way of living, and urges society to adopt social behaviors and ethical choices that minimize environmental degradation and strengthens long-term socio-economic development and a better quality life for all.” The Chief Guest at the event Sri Ravi Kishan, MP Gorakhpur Constituency, shared his vision on sustainability and pledged to make Gorakhpur a greener city, and ensuring the trees are protected in Gorakhpur’s Kusmi jungle. Special guest at the event Dr. Annurag Batra, media maverick and Chairman, Businessworld Media Group, said, ‘It is important for media to highlight sustainable stories, practices and journalists have a greater role in advocating for sustainable living.”
Also at the event were Guest of Honour, Poonam Tandon (Vice Chancellor of DDU University, Gorakhpur), Sudhir Mishra (Media, Broadcasting & Environment Lawyer, Partner Trust Legal), Anil Dhingra (Commissioner, Gorakhpur), Mihir Srivastava (Editor – Vyakti), Sonam M Puri, Sustainable Parenting Coach and Influencer and Rohit Bose (Heritage Fashion Content Creator).
