Nimbus Motion Pictures has entered into a strategic alliance with movie distribution entrepreneur Rajesh Thadani for the Mumbai circuit. With an eye on a nationwide network exploiting the fundamental monetary mechanisms of acquisition of rights, print publicity and advertising, Nimbus Motion Pictures has announced its role as a distributor.
“It was a part of our business plans to venture into film distribution and the time was ripe for us to formalise our association with Rajesh Thadani. We will begin with Mumbai and spread in other places like Delhi and UP. Our team has expanded with an addition of 15 more people,” said, Akash Khurana, CEO, Nimbus Motion Pictures.
He added, “Acquiring films is one thing and making them successful is another. We will focus on films that we feel have the potential to be a hit. We are looking at distributing around 8-10 movies a year.”
The first foray by Nimbus into motion picture distribution segment is a film produced by Mukesh Bhatt and is named Kalyug.
Nimbus is a globally oriented company with business in television, sports, motion pictures and digital content. The company is a producer of Indian language movies and a content provider to the mobile Telco industry. Nimbus Communications business operations are functioning in Singapore, UK, South Africa and the Caribbean.
