Well-known writer and journalist Khushwant Singh passed away on March 20, 2014, one year short of his hundredth birthday, at his home.
He was known for his sharp wit, sense of humour, secularism and journalistic prowess.
Singh was Editor of several publications, which included The Illustrated Weekly of India, Hindustan Times and National Herald, among many others, through the 1970s and 1980s.
