Part of payment for TV9 stake sale was made via hawala channels: Ex-CEO Ravi Prakash
Prakash’s counsel has said only Rs 206 crore of the Rs 500-crore deal was paid through cheque
Ravi Prakash, the former CEO and Editor-in-Chief of TV9, has said that a part of the payment in the TV9 stake sale was allegedly conducted through hawala channels, media reports said.
He has also complained of being harassed following his complaints to the CBI and Enforcement Directorate about the illegal deals.
The case is being heard in the Telangana High Court.
Diljit Singh Ahluwalia, the counsel for Prakash, told the court that only Rs 206 crore of the Rs 500-crore deal was paid through cheque but the rest was paid via hawala channels.
