Prime Minister to hold additional charge of Information & Broadcasting Ministry

Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh will hold the additional charge of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry during the indisposition of Priyaranjan Dasmunsi, who had been admitted to the hospital following a heart attack last month Dasmunsi shall continue to hold the rank of a Minister in the Cabinet, but without portfolio.

Prime Minister to hold additional charge of Information & Broadcasting Ministry

Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh will hold the additional charge of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry during the indisposition of Priyaranjan Dasmunsi, who had been admitted to the hospital following a heart attack last month Dasmunsi shall continue to hold the rank of a Minister in the Cabinet, but without portfolio.

Minister of State for External Affairs Anand Sharma will assist the Prime Minister in handling the I&B Ministry’s affairs. Sharma had been asked to take additional charge as Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting on October 18, 2008.
