Weak hirings hit Info Edge, Q2 profit falls 6 pc to Rs 14.74 cr
The weak hiring environment has had an adverse impact on Info Edge India, which owns the job portal Naukri.com. For the second quarter ended September 30, 2009, Info Edge has reported a fall in its profit to Rs 14.74 crore from Rs 15.67 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal. Net sales also fell by 16 per cent to Rs 55.19 crore.

For the second quarter ended September 30, 2009, Info Edge has reported a fall in its profit to Rs 14.74 crore from Rs 15.67 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal. Net sales also fell by 16 per cent to Rs 55.19 crore.
However, the company was confident that with the economy picking up, the job market would also show an upswing in the third quarter.
