There are no Hindi newspapers that are published out of Goa. This is something that the Governor of Goa, Mridula Sinha misses in Goa.

Although there are English, Marathi and Konkani newspapers, there are no Hindi newspapers, she says.

Originating from Bihar, Sinha has been associated with politics, journalism and literature and she had also been the Founder Editor of Panchva Stambh magazine. She has also authored several books in Hindi.

Sinha said that although she gets news by reading newspapers in other languages, but it doesn’t give her the satisfaction that a Hindi newspaper would. There should at least be one Hindi newspaper published out of Goa, according to her. In context of news channels, she said instead of analysing news, they sensationalise it.
