IRS Q2 2010: Hindi dailies witness several ups and down in Mumbai
Hindi dailies in the Mumbai market have witnessed ups and downs in Average Issue Readership (AIR) as per the IRS Q2 2010 data. NavBharat Times has emerged as the clear leader despite a negative growth in AIR in Mumbai. India Today (Hindi) leads among the Hindi magazines in the Mumbai market with a robust growth of 34.61 per cent in AIR.
Hindi dailies in the Mumbai market have witnessed ups and downs in Average Issue Readership (AIR) as per the IRS Q2 2010 data. NavBharat Times has emerged as the clear leader despite a negative growth in AIR in Mumbai. India Today (Hindi) leads among the Hindi magazines in the Mumbai market with a robust growth of 34.61 per cent in AIR in this round.
With a strong growth of 21 per cent over the Q1 figures, Hindi daily Yeshobhumi is ranked second among Hindi dailies in the Mumbai market. Hamara Mahanagar at No. 3, has seen an AIR of 96,000 in Q2, as against 98,000 in the previous quarter, a decline of 2.04 per cent.
The top two Hindi magazines in the Mumbai market have shown strong growth in AIR in Q2. India Today (Hindi) is leading the market with an AIR of 35,000, as against 26,000 in Q1, a jump of 34 per cent. Meri Saheli at No. 2, too has see a strong growth in AIR of 30.43 per cent in the Mumbai market. However, Saras Salil and Grih Shobha have remained stagnant in Q2, with no change seen in their AIR, as compared to IRS Q1 2010.
