Mob assaults The Caravan journos at Subhash Mohalla, Delhi
One of the reporters was also sexually harassed by the miscreants
Three reporters from The Caravan magazine were reportedly assaulted by a mob in Subhash Mohalla in North East Delhi on Tuesday, August 11. One of them was also sexually harassed by the miscreants.
The three-member team were reporting instances of communal violence in the area following the Ram temple ceremony on August 5. Tensions escalated when some groups shouted anti-Muslim slogans and hoisted a saffron flag at Subhash Mohalla.
The journalists who went there to report were apprehended by the mob and were physically assaulted. Upon learning that one of the journos was a Muslim, they beat him and used communal slurs against him. The female staffer was verbally and sexually harassed. The miscreants took her pictures without her consent. One of them also exposed himself to her.

Local police personnel subsequently managed to take the staffers to the nearby Bhajanpura station. In his complaint, @Prabhtalks wrote that were he not present, “the mob led by that saffron-clad man would have lynched Shahid for his Muslim identity.” pic.twitter.com/7XLpzmscwv
