The Fourth Wave Media group has decided to publish 'Parlour Professional,' which was launched in March this year, in some other languages, besides English and Hindi.

The beauty magazine is currently available in English and Hindi but it will be soon present in other languages like Marathi, Tamil and Gujrati.

The Publisher, Sheila Iyer, divulged that it is the first of the three projects that are slated to come from the group. Said she, "We intend to establish our self as a leader in specialty magazines. Of the other two ventures, the next would be in the jewellery segment."

Speaking on the objective of launching the magazine, Iyer said, "While working for an ad agency and doing event promotions, I realised that there is a gap in the market. Moreover, the fact that entry level people working in parlours and salons are more conversant with Hindi, established basis for launching a bilingual."

The marketing efforts include door-to-door selling and strategic tie-ups with organisations like Lakme Training Academy. Following an integrated media strategy, the group plans to work on events and exhibitions, using them as an effective platform to promote the magazine.

The magazine is available through subscriptions only. It is priced Rs 65 and has a subscription price of Rs 650 (12 issues). Iyer informed that the magazine has managed 3000 subscriptions till date.
