Raj Chengappa slated to return to India Today Group
Chengappa was Managing Editor of India Today before he joined The Tribune as Editor-In-Chief. He will assume responsibilities of Group Editorial Director at India Today from 15th June, 2015
The Tribune’s Editor-In-Chief Raj Chengappa is joining India Today as Group Editorial Director, effective 15th June, 2015, confirm industry insiders.
Chengappa joined The Tribune as Editor-In-Chief in 2010. A veteran in journalism with over 30 years of experience, Chengappa was Managing Editor of India Today before he joined The Tribune.
He has won prestigious Indian journalism awards, including the Prem Bhatia Award for Political Analysis and Reporting in 1998 and the Statesman Award for Rural Reporting in 1987.
Chengappa is also the author of a best-selling book on India’s nuclear weapons, titled ‘Weapons of Peace: The Secret Story of India’s Quest to be a Nuclear Power’.
