Barman passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest on Sunday
Senior journalist and Consulting Editor of the Economic Times, Abheek Barman has passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest on Sunday, November 10, according to reports.
Barman began his distinguished career as a journalist in 1993 at the Business Standard as a feature writer, he then moved to the Economic Times, covering economic subjects as an edit writer and columnist. He was later Editor of Special Projects at the Times of India. Barman was also a prolific writer.
An economist by training, Barman holds a Masters degree from Delhi School of Economics and was a graduate of Presidency College in Kolkata.
